Socialist Modernism in Russia, 1955–1991
by Dumitru Rusu and Natalia Dushkina – B.A.C.U. Association
The eighth volume of the Socialist Modernism series presents 62 landmarks of socialist modernist architecture in Russia, organised by function into five sections. A map at the beginning of the book shows the location of every building.
In colour photographs, the B.A.C.U. Association explains the socialist modernist tendencies of the period and presents a functional image of each building and its often original elements, which synthesise local culture and traditions, together with its current state of conservation.
